Terms of use
1. nature of the project
scripz is an experimental art and educational project at the intersection of cryptographic identity, Bitcoin Lightning micropayments, and physical media. It is provided as a technology demonstration and onboarding tool for nostr and the Lightning Network — not as a financial service or custodial platform.
Active development is permanent. APIs, infrastructure and cryptographic implementations may change, break or be discontinued without notice.
2. use at your own risk
By using scripz you acknowledge that:
- You use this platform entirely at your own risk, on an "as is" / "as available" basis.
- You are solely responsible for safeguarding the keys, seeds, PINs and wallet credentials revealed by your scripz.
- Server-generated keys are intended for onboarding and educational use, not long-term custody of significant value. Migrate to self-custody if you intend to hold funds.
3. no warranty, no liability
The platform is provided without any warranty, express or implied. The operators of scripz shall not be liable for loss of keys, loss of funds, unauthorised access, infrastructure changes, bugs, or any other damages arising from use of the service. By using scripz you waive claims against the project, its contributors and affiliates.
4. no financial advice
Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, legal or tax advice. You are responsible for understanding the legal and tax implications of using Bitcoin and Lightning in your jurisdiction.
5. cryptographic keys & custody
Keys are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and PIN-protected, but they are server-generated. The claim-and-wipe mechanism is a best-effort measure, not a guarantee of data destruction. Sovereign custody requires generating keys yourself.
6. third-party services
scripz integrates with LNbits, nostr relays, and the Bitcoin Lightning Network. We have no control over the availability, security or terms of these services.
7. open source
